Spiritual Consciousness in Medieval Christian philosophy : A Study on the Thought of Hildegard of Bingen
Abstract
This study explores spiritual consciousness in medieval Christian philosophy through the exemplary figure of Hildegard of Bingen, high lighting her unique contribution to both spiritual and in tellectual traditions. The research examines how her mystical awareness emerged within a theological vision that perceives nature, the body, and art as spaces of divine manifestation. It focuses on the existential, epistemological, ethical, and artistic (musical) dimensions of her writings, demonstrating how Hildegard expressed these insights through a symbolic and Lyrical language. Ultimately, the study reveals how now her mystical experience shaped a holistic consciousness that unites inner vision with active engagement in the world
